A friend of mine has been telling me every time we chat about the excellent services she has been lucky enough to get in New York. One of the services she is singing praises about is the JFK Airport transportation services. Time and time again, whenever she goes on a trip, she gets their services and she is very satisfied with it.

There is a long standing open invitation from Lynn for me to come and visit her in New York City. She has been working there for almost seven years now. She works for one of the big four auditing firms in the US as an auditing manager. She told me that I won’t have any problems with accommodation and tour of the city. She will take care of everything and all I need to do is get my butt over there. I just might say yes, finally! I think, by the middle of this year, I might have enough time and resources to go to New York City. I just hope the funds I am expecting by that time will come in as expected. If not, I might have to delay the trip again to late of this year. Again.

We went to a neat little shop in my aunt’s neighborhood that has a variety of items that you cannot find in a usual neighborhood shop. There were cowboy boots, antique electric fans, little novelty wood items, Fig trees, cute little spades for kids, and a whole bunch of items you normally can’t think of. We were so happy with the shop we spent an hour just checking each item we found there.

It’s so cold these days that I think I would need an electric blanket already! Actually, temperatures are dropping everywhere in the country right now. This happens normally around holiday season but since the cold weather started late this year, it compensated it’s lateness, in a way, by coming in full blast! Imagine a tropical country experiencing a cold weather with the plants being frozen on the ground? Weird, right? But since we were so looking forward to saying goodbye to the humidity, we welcome the cold weather, even if it comes with the usual round of the flu.

A friend offers to buy memory for me. She will be going abroad and I know that there will be a technology sale there this coming month. It will be really great to get something of quality at a lower price. I just might ask my friend to check out the cellphone that I am eyeing for some time now. I want to be able to go to different places without the worry of carrying the laptop with me.

Always hungry. That’s what I am these days. It’s the cold weather coupled with the smell of holiday food and complacency. I am not looking for weight loss products right now because I know it will just be a futile attempt to try to diet this season. Probably next year, after the holidays. It would be great if I can just exercise regularly because at least it will minimize the increase in pounds. But… argh! The cold weather is doing me in!

So here I am again and writing something hehe… Anyway, I have to check a lot of things by tomorrow. There will be a series of reunions for our family so there are a lot of things to do and organize. My cousin will check some safety equipment. I will have to take charge of the party supplies and my sisters and other cousins will be taking care of the food preparations. We are all quite excited because one of our cousins will be going abroad by January so we are making everything extra special.
